The Belle Facial with Dermasweep is a form of microdermabrasion treatment performed in Melbourne and is one of our most popular treatments here at Liberty Belle Skin Centre. It provides non-invasive skin improvement through a combination of exfoliation and the application of nourishing serums and acids. It is tailored to cleanse, refresh and revitalise, giving you long-lasting radiance. It has no downtime.
The treatment utilises a special machine with an assortment of brush tips and a variable-level vacuum system designed to clean and exfoliate the skin while suctioning away the resulting debris. This vacuuming action also increases blood flow, which stimulates collagen formation to help firm and tone the top layer of the skin, known as the epidermis. The best microdermabrasion treatments are followed by manual extraction of whiteheads and blackheads to clear remaining congestion, and an infusion of Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C serums is applied to provide restorative hydration.
Our microdermabrasion treatment in Melbourne is suitable for a wide range of skin types and conditions, and the treatment is customised according to your particular skin. It can improve the appearance of:
Fine lines and wrinkles
Dull, lifeless skin
Uneven skin texture
Dr Moss recommends his facial surgery patients have a DermaSweep treatment in his Melbourne clinic before surgery to cleanse the skin and stimulate blood flow, promoting improved healing.

Effective and non-invasive
Flexible and can be precisely tailored to deliver optimal benefits
An easy and comfortable way to help maintain long-term skin health
Popular as a pre-event treatment to help you look radiant on that special day
Can be combined with other in-clinic treatments and active skin care to achieve further results. Popular treatment combinations following a DermaSweep treatment include Laser Genesis or Pellevé Skin Tightening. The advantage of combining these treatments in one session is that the DermaSweep firms and cleans the outer layer of your skin, while Laser Genesis and Pellevé are both designed to enhance by encouraging collagen growth, which firms from the deeper layers of the skin. This helps you keep that ‘DermaSweep glow’ for longer.
How does this treatment improve the skin?
The combination of exfoliation, manual extraction and hydration stimulates blood flow, cleans out pores, and removes skin debris. Microdermabrasion before and after comparisons show skin that looks smoother and blemish-free.
How long does it take?
As each treatment is tailored, it can take anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour, and longer if combined with other treatments.
Is the treatment painful?
Not at all. In fact, most people find our Melbourne microdermabrasion treatment to be relaxing.
Is there any downtime?
No. Your skin will be warm and pinkish glow for up to 24 hours. In most cases a mineral powder can be applied after the treatment and you can return to your normal activities straightaway. However, we do advise that you avoid direct sunlight for a few days afterwards and use SPF to protect your skin and your results. It is very uncommon to have a reaction to this treatment beyond these effects.
What will my skin look like after treatment?
The warm, pinkish glow may last for up to 24 hours but can be covered with mineral makeup. However, it is advisable to avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF for at least a few days after your microdermabrasion treatment.
How long will it take to see results?
The skin usually looks immediately brighter and refreshed, and feels plump and smooth. The treatment can be repeated, and many often choose to do so once every 4-8 weeks to maintain the skin. Maintenance can be accentuated through the use of skin care or other treatments.
What are the benefits of the Dermasweep system?
Dermasweep can be tailored to suit a wide range of skin types and conditions, allowing for a personalised treatment specific for your skin. It is comfortable, painless and effective, incurs no downtime and is suitable as a pre-event improver or as part of a long-term treatment plan to rejuvenate and maintain your skin.
